The Junior League of Raleigh and Visual Art Exchange present Down Home: Portraits of the Old North State, a juried art exhibition Thursday, Oct. 21, through Sunday, Oct. 24. Artists may enter up to two pieces exploring this year's theme. This exhibit is open to all two-dimensional artwork, excluding photography, by living Carolina artists.

The exhibition has one of the most lucrative cash pools of any fine art exhibition world-wide with $65,000 in total awards, including a $25,000 Best in Show prize. Approximately 100 entries will be featured in the premier exhibition at the Naples (Fla.) Museum of Art in February 2011.
